Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

Good afternoon all,

Firstly, I think some introductions are in order! My name is Stephen and I am one of your local Police Community Support Officers for the Rushey Mead area. I have the pleasure of working alongside PCSO 6163 Lynette Dahou, PC 2102 Chris Brown and PC 1835 Kacie Capell who are the other members of your Rushey Mead Neighbourhood Policing Team.

I will be using Neighbourhood Link to send out messages to the Rushey Mead community with news from your local policing team, crime prevention advice, upcoming events and appeals for information.

As part of these messages we will be giving you updates about some of the work your neighbourhood team has been involved with. At the end of August we received complaints of a strong smell of cannabis coming from an address in the Rushey Mead Area. Officers made enquiries at the address and discovered a large quantity of cannabis plants inside. Two males have been arrested from the address and an investigation is ongoing.

We are also holding consultations in the area which is your chance speak to us about any neighbourhood policing matters. These events will give you a chance to meet the team and share with us any questions or concerns you may have.

We are holding our next beat surgery on Sunday 26th September at Watermead Country Park in the car park off Alderton Close from 3pm til 4pm. Everyone is welcome to pop along to say hello and talk to us about any issues in the local area.

You can also keep up to date about what yours and other teams in the East Leicester area are doing, by following our “@LPEastLeics” social media pages on Facebook and Twitter.

If you need to contact the police to report any incidents please phone 101 for non-emergencies, 999 in an emergency, or you can now report online at www.leics.police.uk.

I hope you all have a good weekend!

Kind regards,
PCSO 6037 Stephen Bell
Keyham Lane Police Station
