Wide load rescheduled

On Thursday 26th August 2021 another high and wide load will be travelling from the A5 through Burbage towards Hinckley.
It will be under a Police escort and travelling between 1130 and 1300 hours.
It would be appreciated if Church Street can be left clear of parked vehicles during this time to allow the load to travel through safely.
As the load is high it has to travel on this dedicated high load route.  It is not permitted to use the motorway network.
Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

Bank Scams from resident to raise awareness

“I recently suffered an onslaught of credible scam texts /mobile phone calls and landline phone calls allegedly from my bank telling me my card had been used fraudulently. Luckily I just rang my bank and was reassured they were scams - however the calls are continuing.”

Thank you and take care.
